Our last couple of days in Bali treated us to several monsoons, one where we were stuck in a restaurant with no waterproofs or umbrella - only a drink!! The difference between here and England is that although the rain is heavy you are still warm in short sleeves. It was interesting to watch the motorbikes stop and pull out their ponchos and then go on unperturbed. The restaurant manager seemed to know when it was coming as he moved his wooden statues in from the rain.

The rains seem localised so we escaped one day to Karma Kandara where we own weeks in a villa. It turned out to be a beautiful location where we were thoroughly spoilt and the sun shone. I now understand the attraction of an infinity pool!
